SUVIDHA is a non-government social organisation, registered under Societies Registration Act 21, 1860, in the year 2004. Society for the Upliftment of Villagers & Development of Himalayan Areas (SUVIDHA) is a premier non-profit organisation in India with experience spanning over a decade in the field of project development and conducting studies and surveys, formulating, appraising, monitoring and evaluation of projects connected with agriculture, water resources and rural development, including rural financial services. Over the years, its activities include supervision of various fields like agriculture, irrigation, rural credit and rural infrastructure in India.
Past ten years SUVIDHA is engaged in the promoting of organic and sustainable agriculture in the states of Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Odisha and Chhattisgarh. SUVIDHA has facilitated establishment of nearly 256 organised grower groups and contract production projects in some of the above states.
This success is based on scientifically experienced and administratively capable core group staff. More than 80 members, volunteers and resources persons are well versed in all aspect of rural sustainable development projects, watershed management, beekeeping, livelihood improvement, Health and organic farming such as soil analysis, crop selection, developing organic manner, culture imitation, quality control, training, certification, and packaging as per national and international standard.
